I know this is a lame question, but what is your favorite setup for a) dslr and b) film shots? Also, I'll assume you edit in photoshop? I cannot help but notice the incredible uniqueness in many of your photos. Thanks :)
hey, thanks for asking. it’s not lame at all, i’m often asked this and i always feel like i’m disappointing people with my answers. i don’t own photoshop or anything of the sort. i do some minor edits in i-photo, but usually just to correct my negative scans. if a photograph ive made doesnt turn out how i had hoped, i usually just make note of it and discard it. i almost always use the same film, and have been for many years now. i most often (for colour) use kodak portra 400. anyway, as for cameras, i owned a digital camera for a few years but decided it wasnt what i wanted to be shooting with and so i sold it. about 75% of my photographs are made using my mamiya c330, and the rest are with my nikon fm2. when i was living in michigan, most of my photographs were made with a minolta, a nikon fe, a nikon one-touch or said digital camera (which was a nikon d70s.) for the past three years all of my processing/scans have been done by citizens photo in portland, oregon. once i have my own darkroom and studio/house (someday) i’m sure i’ll find myself spending much more time editing and printing.
