che.
los angeles, california.
april 2012.
one of the photo projects that i’m currently working on is gathering simple interviews and portraits of los angeles residents that are doing something (and bonus points for any that are using their tumblr blogs as a reflection of whatever it is they do… you’ll find out why soon.)
the above photograph is of che, one of the most wonderful men ive ever had the pleasure of spending so much time with. ive been photographing che in his incredibly lovely home at the top of a hill overlooking los feliz, as well as at some places we’ve danced at, throughout the past few months. dancing with che is therapeutic. he was born and raised in los angeles and has seen the dance floors change throughout most of the 1900s and now into the 2000s. (disco has always been his favourite.)
if youre living and doing something in los angeles, and wouldnt mind sitting for a little portrait session, please send me an email with your name, what part of los angeles you live in, what you do, your tumblr address (if you have one,) and any other information you think might be relevant. you can look through my past portraiture here. (if you sent me an email a few months ago about the same project, you should probably send me another one…)
if you’d like to make a donation towards film and processing for this series, you can do so by clicking here.
