oh hey, my website is finally up and running again, after almost a year of not working. it still has a few glitches and sometimes brings up some strange error page (its on a free host right now but ill be switching it over soon, when i am home for more than five minutes.) check it out if you feel up to it, though it is nothing too spectacular.

now im off to shoot the scion garage fest all day and night.

yesterday evening i photographed the monsters of folk (jim james, m ward, conor oberst, & mike mogis) at the arlene schnitzer concert hall here in portland. having seen all of these musicians on their own before and never having heard their collaboration, i went into it with no expectations. at first i thought it was that fact, that i had gone into it with no expectations, that it was blowing my mind away, and then i began to eavesdrop and listen to all of the guests’ opinions on the show afterwords and i can honestly say i have never heard every single passer byer give such praise and gratification about a show, i did not hear one person say a negative or even a mediocre remark about the show. that being said, it was one of the most inspirational concerts i have seen in a long while, perhaps even years. between their vocal harmonization’s and their skills with their instruments, i nearly had a musical orgasm, or an eargasm, rather. not only that, but as a photographer, i couldnt have asked for a more visually pleasing light demonstration, so cheers to whomever was in charge of the lighting. expect more photographs soon.
